IMPORTANT MESSAGE PLEASE READ

The Piqua State Bank has changed the way that we charge for overdrafts

We have made this change in order to; save our customers money; comply with the new Dodd-Frank regulations; and to simplify the way we process overdraft and return checks. We will no longer charge you $20.00 for each item that comes in to your account drawn against insufficient funds. We will instead charge each account that is overdrawn at the end of the processing day a $20.00 fee for having an overdrawn account on that day. This will eliminate those multiple fee days when numerous items hit your account causing an overdraft and will also cause you not to be charged at all if you have made a deposit on that day that will cover the items that would have caused you to be overdrawn.

Keep in mind that your account will be charged $20.00 for each business day that it is overdrawn, so it is your responsibility to cover your overdraft in a timely manner to keep from accumulating excessive charges. The decision making process concerning whether we pay or return an item will not change, but you will not be charged a fee for the item regardless of whether it is paid or returned. Overdrafts created solely by ATM or debit card point of sale transactions will not be charged the overnight overdraft fee. We hope this change will save you money when you make a mistake in your checking account, and also cause you to cover your overdrafts more quickly.
